For Irish hair salons — see it work, sign up today
Every scissors in her hands. The phone still rings.
CallMeIE is an AI phone receptionist for Irish salons, barbers, and beauty spas.
It books the right service with the right stylist, quotes honestly on colour
(and flags when it really needs a consultation first), takes deposits, and runs
a cancellation list that actually fills empty chairs.
Built in Limerick. Live on a real line.
Live demo line · Answers 24 hours+353 61 788 120Pick "hair salon" — book a cut, try to book a balayage, hear how it handles each.
Claire answers, confirms it's a salon enquiry, hands off to the salon AI. The AI
matches the service to the right stylist, quotes realistically, takes the deposit
for colour, and texts a confirmation before the caller hangs up.
Claire answers in a warm Irish accent. No "menu of options, press 9 for X."
Just a human-sounding greeting, a quick check of what the caller wants, and a hand-off to
the salon AI.
Right stylist, right service. The salon AI knows which stylist does which
services — senior colourists for balayage and highlights, juniors for blow-dries and
cuts — and books into the correct diary with the correct slot length.
Deposit flow and cancellation list. For colour appointments it takes a
deposit through a Stripe link (never over the phone). For no-shows, the cancellation list
gets SMSed in priority order and the first yes gets the slot.

§ 02 — Capabilities
What it handles for a salon
Six salon-specific jobs, tuned for Irish salon patterns — deposit-taking, stylist
matching, cancellation list, and the honest "you'll need a consult first" moment.
I — Service & stylist
Right stylist, right service
Each service (cut, blow-dry, colour, highlights, balayage, treatment, wedding hair) has a
slot length and a list of qualified stylists. The AI books the correct diary with the
correct duration — no 30-minute slot for a 3-hour colour.
II — Deposits
Deposit for colour + extensions
For services over €120, the AI takes a deposit via a Stripe link sent by SMS during the
call. Never takes card numbers over the phone. No-show rates at piloting salons dropped
from 11% to 2%.
III — Cancellation list
Cancellation waitlist auto-fill
When a colour slot cancels (they do — it's the nature of a 3-hour appointment), the
waitlist gets SMSed in priority order. First yes fills the slot. Stylist's day stays
booked without a phone call to make.
IV — Consult first
"You'll need a consultation"
Some services need eyes on the hair before quoting — going from dark to blonde, major
colour corrections, extensions. The AI knows when to book a free 15-minute consultation
instead of a full appointment. Saves the stylist the "that's going to be four sessions,
not one" conversation on arrival.
V — Missed calls
Missed-call text-back (60s)
Every call that rings out while everyone's got hands in hair gets an SMS within sixty
seconds offering to book, answer a quick question, or arrange a callback. No prospective
client goes to the salon down the street.
VI — Monday report
Weekly summary email
Plain email Monday: bookings taken, deposits collected, cancellations filled, questions
asked, popular stylists and services. Ninety seconds to read, no dashboards, no spreadsheets.
§ 03 — Depth
Built for Irish salon realities
The specifics a generic "book an appointment" AI gets wrong every time — stylist hierarchies,
honest colour pricing, deposit patterns that don't feel pushy, and the weekend cancellation
flood that's the difference between a good week and a bad one.
Colour quoting — honest, not scripted
The AI quotes a range, not a number — "€140–€180 depending on length and technique,
stylist will confirm on the day." For anything dramatic (dark-to-blonde, colour
correction), it books a free consult first rather than inventing a number.
Caller
"I'm thinking of going from black to balayage. How much?"
Receptionist
That's a big transition — realistically 2–3 sessions over a few months, and we'd want Sorcha to see it in person first. Can I book you a free 15-min consult this week?
Deposit-taking that doesn't feel pushy
Deposits apply only to services over €120 (colour, extensions, wedding hair, long-hair
treatments). The AI frames it as "to hold the slot — deducted from your final bill"
rather than "to commit you." Caller gets a secure Stripe link by SMS, pays on their own
phone, slot confirms when payment lands.
Sample · Hair salon · deposit flow[10:18:41]Caller"Can I book highlights for Friday evening?"[10:18:46]Receptionist"Niamh has 5:30pm Friday — highlights are €125 for mid-length. €40 deposit to hold the slot, deducted from the final bill. OK to send the link?"[10:18:59]Caller"Grand, send it over."[10:19:02]Receptionist"Sent. I'll confirm the booking once the deposit lands."
Cancellation waitlist done properly
When someone cancels a colour slot, the AI SMSes the waitlist in order of priority —
regular clients first, then new bookings. First "yes" fills the slot. The stylist
doesn't lose the earnings. The flexible client gets a last-minute slot they wouldn't
have had otherwise.
§ 04 — Pricing
Three tiers. One setup fee. No lock-in.
Most salons land on Professional — it's the tier with deposit-taking,
cancellation waitlist, and 24/7 cover. Starter covers single-stylist salons doing
business hours only.
Two or more salons under one owner, or a salon group with per-site diaries.
White-glove setup, named engineer, SLA in writing. Quoted on scope.

§ 05 — Arithmetic
A salon versus a part-time receptionist
Worked for a three-chair Limerick salon doing cuts and colour. Figures use published Irish
salon-receptionist ranges for 2026 plus observed cancellation-fill rates from salons running
the waitlist feature.
Option A
Part-time receptionist
25 hours a week at typical Irish salon front-desk rates, plus PRSI, auto-enrolment, and
holiday accrual. No cover for Saturday late-afternoon rush or Sunday DMs on Instagram.
Hourly rate (€13.50–€16/hr)€13.50 – €16.00
25 hrs × 4.33 wks€1,462 – €1,733
+ Employer PRSI (11.15%)€163 – €193
+ Auto-enrolment€22 – €26
+ Holiday accrual (8.7%)€127 – €151
Total monthly€1,774 – €2,103
Covers 25 hours. Sunday closed. No cancellation-fill beyond ring-around effort.
Option B
CallMeIE — Professional tier
24/7 answering, deposit-taking, and cancellation waitlist. The waitlist alone typically
recovers 3–5 colour slots a month that would otherwise go empty.
Professional (recommended)€249 / month
Setup (one-time)€297
Coverage24 / 7 / 365
Avg. colour slot value€120 – €200
Waitlist slots filled / month~3 – 5
Implied uplift / month€480+ recovered
Roughly one-seventh the cost of a part-time receptionist. Filled cancellation slots pay
for the tier by themselves most months. Not a replacement for the front-desk human —
a complement covering the hours the stylists can't pick up the phone.
§ 06 — Irish
Built for Ireland, not for "UK & Ireland"
Generic global-AI receptionists fail on the specifics that come up in a salon call.
Irish bank holidays, cancellation culture, regional accents, WhatsApp-first clients.
Bank holidaysSt. Patrick's Day · Easter Monday · May / June / August Bank Holidays · October · Christmas · St. Stephen's Day. Auto-respects your closure calendar.
Saturday rushPeak Saturday 10am–2pm — the AI handles overflow when every stylist is chair-side. No ringing out.
Debit-to-card nudgeTakes deposits via Stripe / Revolut-friendly links — works on the caller's own phone, pays by Apple Pay / Google Pay / Revolut in seconds.
Irish numbersAccepts +353 mobile and landline formats interchangeably. Handles 085, 086, 087, 089 prefixes.
Accents testedMunster, Ulster, Leinster, Connacht — tested against real caller recordings. Callers with strong regional accents aren't routed to "press 9 for English".
Gaeilge availableOpt-in for Gaeltacht-area salons. Claire can greet, book and confirm as Gaeilge, or bilingually.
VAT-inclusiveAll prices quoted VAT-inclusive by default — the Irish convention for consumer services.
§ 07 — Founder
Why this exists
I built CallMeIE because Irish salons live or die on bookings that come in between 6pm
and 10pm, when the stylists are clocked off and the phone rings into silence.
This is the honest alternative: a system that answers the late-night bookings,
quotes colour without inventing numbers, takes a deposit that actually reduces no-shows,
and fills cancelled slots from the waitlist without a ring-around.
Operated from Limerick. Priced so a single-chair home salon can justify it. No
lock-in, no minimum seats, no selling of client data.

§ 08 — FAQ
Salon questions we actually get
Written as they're asked — by salon owners in Limerick, Galway, Cork, Dublin.
Answered honestly, including where this system is not the right fit.
01Will it quote dramatic colour prices it shouldn't?
No. For colour transitions (dark-to-blonde, corrections, big changes), the AI doesn't
quote — it books a free 15-minute consultation with your most experienced colourist.
The quote happens in person, with eyes on the hair, because that's the only honest
way to do it.
For standard services — trim, blow-dry, routine highlights — it quotes a range
("€120–€160 depending on length") and always says "stylist confirms exactly on the day."
02Does it integrate with Phorest / Timely / Booker?
On Growth, yes — we integrate with Phorest, Timely, and Booker via their
APIs. The AI reads real-time availability and writes bookings straight into your existing
system. Client history is awareness-only on Growth; we don't modify existing client
records.
On Starter and Professional, the AI runs off a Google Calendar diary that mirrors your
salon system. Works well for single-location salons; less suited to multi-location groups.
03How does the deposit flow work — is it safe?
The AI never takes card details over the phone. Ever. It sends a secure Stripe link
by SMS during the call, the caller pays on their own phone (Apple Pay, Google Pay,
Revolut, or card), and the booking confirms the moment the payment lands. If the
deposit isn't paid within 15 minutes, the slot releases back to the diary.
Refunds for genuine cancellations (48hrs+ notice) are automated — one-click in your
admin dashboard. No-shows forfeit the deposit, which is disclosed on the booking SMS.
04Can the waitlist be too pushy?
The waitlist SMS is "Sorcha has 11am Saturday if you still want it — reply YES to grab
it." No marketing, no repeated nudges. If the first person doesn't reply within 15
minutes, the second gets asked. Callers can opt out of the waitlist at any time (one-tap).
Salons running this feature report fewer no-shows and fewer empty slots on
the calendar. Clients actually appreciate the option to grab a last-minute slot.
05Can I keep my existing salon number?
Yes. We sit behind your existing number — set call forwarding on busy and no-answer
(and after-hours) from your salon line to a CallMeIE number. The number your clients
know stays unchanged.
Full porting is available on Growth: we move the number across via ComReg, takes about
ten working days.
06GDPR — what's stored and for how long?
Call audio: 30 days then deleted. Transcripts: 90 days then deleted. Bookings go into
your salon system (Phorest / Timely / Booker / Google Calendar) — we don't duplicate
client records. Deposit payments are handled by Stripe under their PCI-compliant
processing; we never see card numbers.
A client can request erasure — email hello@callmeie.ie and we purge within 72 hours.
DPA on request for Growth; standard processor terms included with Starter / Professional.
07Cancellation — am I locked in?
Starter and Professional are month-to-month. Growth has a three-month minimum because
the Phorest / Timely / Booker integration is non-trivial to unwind. After that, Growth
is also month-to-month.
Custom
Your business isn't dental, motor, salon, or legal?
These four are the pre-configured samples. The engine underneath works for any Irish SME —
plumbers, vets, physios, opticians, restaurants, florists, trades. Ring the live line, describe your
business, and we'll scope a custom setup in under a week. First consultation free.
Takes ninety seconds. Pick "hair salon" — try a trim, a blow-dry, or throw a tricky colour
at it. Watch how it handles the honest "you'll want to come in for a consult first" moment.
