Why I built this.

I studied computing with software development in Tralee. Dropped out before finishing. Spent the next seven years working jobs in Irish businesses — five years storefitting and merchandising for Lidl contractors across the country, two years as a supervisor in Home Savers, a stint selling furniture.

In every one of those businesses, the same thing happened: the phone rang while someone was with a customer, on a delivery, doing stock. It went unanswered. The caller did not ring back. The owner never found out. The booking, the parts order, the new patient — gone to whoever picked up next.

When I came back to Limerick in 2026, I had enough grounding in AI and telephony to build the thing I'd watched Irish businesses need for years. An assistant that answers the phone when you can't. That knows your calendar, your prices, your most common questions. That handles Irish accents — because it was built for Ireland, not California.

CallMeIE is that assistant. I am still the only person who works on it. Every customer I have gets my direct contact. Every configuration I do myself. That will change as the business grows — but the standard will not.
