Annual service & safety check
Standard gas or oil service. 45 minutes on-site, warranty retention, full written record. Add flue gas analysis for €30.
Family-run plumbing, heating and heat-pump work out of Little Island. Three engineers, one truck each, written quotes before anything gets lifted. If it’s an emergency — a burst pipe, a cold house in January, a boiler that won’t light — call the out-of-hours line and someone picks up.
Plumbing, gas, oil, heat pumps, drains, landlord certs. If it carries water or burns fuel, we’re certified to work on it and insured to stand behind it. Prices below are standard domestic rates — commercial quoted separately.
Standard gas or oil service. 45 minutes on-site, warranty retention, full written record. Add flue gas analysis for €30.
Domestic combi from €2,400 incl. boiler, flue and commissioning. Condensing oil from €3,200. Straightforward swap is a one-day job.
Flat €95 call-out includes the first 30 minutes on-site. After that €65/hr plus parts. Card on-site or EFT 48h terms.
Typical 3-piece suite replacement with tiles runs 4–5 days. Supply your own suite or we source with a 10% margin (disclosed upfront).
Air-source heat pump from €8,500 after SEAI Better Energy grant (€3,500 deduction). We handle the full SEAI application paperwork.
Required for BER, property sale and landlord cert under RTA. RGI certificate issued same-day, accepted by every Cork letting agent.
€125 domestic, €180 commercial. High-pressure jet used where rodding won’t shift it. CCTV inspection available on request.
All-in cert package for landlords: gas safety check, general plumbing review and a written property report on headed paper.
Every reg number on this site is verifiable against the live public register it belongs to. If an installer won’t give you their reg number, they don’t have one.
Verify anything. RGI registration — www.rgii.ie (search RGI-18472). OFTEC — www.oftec.org/ireland (search C-21-0093). SEAI contractor list — www.seai.ie. Insurance cover letters available on request.
Cork city centre sits at the middle of our standard call-out radius. Fifty kilometres in any direction — no fuel surcharge, no “travel time” line item. Past that, we’ll quote fairly but you might be better off with a local installer, and we’ll say so.
Outside this area? We’ll quote — but if there’s an RGI or OFTEC installer closer to you, we’ll tell you and save you the call-out fee.
Dermot runs the business and does the heavy installs. Eoin runs service days and heat-pump commissioning. Kieran is finishing his apprenticeship under Dermot and covers bathroom fits + drainage jobs. Nobody is subcontracted.
Took over from his father in 2004, the year he qualified RGI. Handles every gas-boiler install and all heat-pump commissioning personally. Does every new-customer site visit before a quote goes out.
Service days, landlord cert packages and fault-finding. If it’s an intermittent fault and three lads have already looked at it, he’s usually the one who finds it. Runs the van that covers east Cork.
Finishing SOLAS apprenticeship spring 2026. Bathroom fits, drainage, routine maintenance. Always paired with Dermot or Eoin on gas work until fully RGI-registered — no shortcuts on that.
Public liability and professional indemnity kept current, brokered through McCarthy Insurance Group in Cork, underwritten by AIG. Cover letters available on request before a job starts.
Cover is more than most domestic jobs need and that’s the point: a large commercial incident or a multi-unit flood won’t leave anyone chasing a tradesman for damages. Cover letter addressed to you, your landlord or your managing agent comes out before any commercial job.
Every engineer carries photo-ID with their RGI or OFTEC number on the back. If someone turns up without it, ring 021 555 0418 and check before letting them in. We’ve been asked twice, both times by elderly customers, and that’s exactly the right instinct.
Tax clearance and CRO status current. VAT: IE 1234567A. C2 cert available for main-contractor work.
Every standard job has a published rate on this page. Quotes are written, line-itemised, and sent before the first minute of labour is charged. No cash-only jobs, no lads-will-sort-it, no small-print tradesman nonsense. VAT included on every figure quoted.
You know the number before we turn up. €95 standard, €95 emergency. No travel surcharge inside the 50 km radius.
Anything over €300 gets a written quote — labour, parts, VAT, estimated hours, delivery time, all of it on one page. Emailed, not verbal.
We don’t leave a job until it’s fired up, tested, pressure-proved and signed off by you. Invoice follows the sign-off, not the other way round.
No photos — customers generally don’t want their homes on a website. Dates, scope and totals are enough to see what we quote against what jobs actually cost when they’re done.
No booking widget, no web chat. Trade customers want a voice or a written quote and that’s exactly what we offer. Emergencies: always the mobile line, always answered.
