CallMe.ie ("we", "our", "us") is an AI-powered phone answering service for Irish businesses. We are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Acts 1988–2018.

3. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to:
- Provide and operate the CallMe.ie Service
- Transcribe and route inbound calls to your business
- Send service notifications and account communications
- Process subscription payments
- Improve our AI models and service quality (anonymised/aggregated only)
- Comply with legal obligations
4. Legal Basis for Processing
- Contract: Processing necessary to perform the service you subscribed to
- Legitimate interests: Security monitoring, fraud prevention, service improvement
- Legal obligation: Tax, accounting, and regulatory compliance
- Consent: Marketing communications (where separately requested)
5. Call Recordings and GDPR
Inbound callers to your business number may be recorded for transcription purposes. You are responsible for informing your callers that calls may be recorded, as required under GDPR. We provide sample disclosure scripts in our onboarding documentation.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
- Service providers: Telephony (Twilio), AI processing (Anthropic), cloud infrastructure — under data processing agreements
- Payment processors: Stripe — for subscription billing only
- Legal authorities: Where required by Irish or EU law
7. International Transfers
Some of our service providers operate outside the EEA. All such transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission.
8. Data Retention
- Call recordings and transcripts: 90 days (configurable per account)
- Account data: Duration of subscription + 12 months after cancellation
- Billing records: 7 years (Irish tax law)
9. Your Rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access your personal data (Subject Access Request)
- Correct inaccurate data
- Erase your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Restrict or object to processing
- Data portability
- Lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie)

We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest, and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Service is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be notified via email or a notice on our website at least 14 days in advance.
